Guide to Christmas Markets in Luxembourg & Beyond

Christmas really is just around the corner, so it’s time to light the fires, turn on the Christmas music, put on your favorite sweater, and experience Christmas Markets. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year!

Germany

Aachen

A beautiful city and one of the largest markets, so be sure to orient yourself once you get there to avoid a frantic search for your forgotten parked car.   The quality of the items you can purchase there are worth the trip alone. Handblown glass, pottery- almost like an artisan trade venue. If you are up for a challenge, you can try to hit four markets in a day (Cologne, Aachen, Monschau, and Bonn). Aachen Christmas market regularly makes the top 10 best Christmas markets in Europe.
