Centrally located and filled with friendly staff members, this restaurant has tons of amazing breakfast choices to start your day in Trier. We recommend the potatoes with eggs and bacon, sausage with sauerkraut, and mashed potatoes. Pair your meal with some delicious Irish coffee and you have the perfect way to keep you up for a day trip!

Coyote Cafe
If you’re looking for a good, more relaxed place to eat lunch/dinner, check out Coyote Cafe. There is a large selection of items on their menus, including food and drinks. The cocktails were absolutely delicious including frozen strawberry daiquiris, Cosmopolitans, mojitos, and Long Islands (all of which were perfect for a fun dinner). We recommend the burgers and nachos to eat with your cocktails. The atmosphere is perfect for a night out.

Trier Amphitheater
If you want to get a glimpse at real Roman history, check out the Trier Amphitheater. This site has been standing for the past 1700 years, and is one of the largest Roman amphitheaters left in the entire world. Take in the sights by yourself, or immerse yourself in the theatre’s history with a guided tour.

Electoral Palace
If you’re looking to see a charming palace from 1600s, check out the Electoral Palace. With its beautiful large garden and pond, this palace is breathtaking and so incredible to walk around to see all of the architectural details! Karl Marx House
If you’re looking to get a glimpse of interesting, more modern history in a Roman city, check out the Karl Marx House. You will be able to see the exhibits on the founder of Communism, Karl Marx, right in is his birthplace. There is tons of fascinating information and history behind Marx, Communism and many more shown through exhibits, letters, personal possessions, and more.

Wine Tasting
Weinstube Kesselstatt
If you’re looking to indulge in some authentic German wine, check out Weinstube Kesselstatt. Located in a beautiful building in the center of Trier, you can taste a large selection of wines. There are places to sit and stand outside, which is surrounded by grape vines to make it feel private and luxurious. They offer a ton of appetizers to eat while you try a variety of wines, but we recommend reserving a spot before you go (especially on the weekends).
