Domaines Vinsmoselle Marks 60 Years!
For 60 years, Domaines Vinsmoselle has played an important role in shaping Luxembourg’s wine story. From the rolling vineyards of the Moselle to celebrations around family tables, the cooperative has long been intertwined with the country’s culture, landscape and traditions. Now, to mark this milestone anniversary, the wine producer is turning to art to tell its next chapter.
In celebration of its 60th anniversary, Domaines Vinsmoselle has announced a special collaboration with Luxembourgish artist Jacques Schneider, bringing together two worlds deeply rooted in heritage, craftsmanship, and storytelling.
The partnership feels like a natural fit. Both Domaines Vinsmoselle and Schneider share a strong connection to Luxembourg’s landscapes and a desire to preserve tradition while looking toward the future. Through painting, photography, sculpture, and textile art, Schneider’s work often explores memory, place, and collective identity, themes that resonate strongly with the history of Luxembourg’s Moselle wine region.
At the centre of the collaboration are two limited-edition anniversary cuvées, a wine and a crémant, featuring exclusive artistic labels designed by Schneider. More than simply a commemorative bottle, the collection represents a meeting point between artistic expression and winemaking expertise, celebrating not only the past 60 years of Domaines Vinsmoselle, but also its evolving identity.
As André Mehlen, CEO of Domaines Vinsmoselle, explains, the anniversary is ultimately about the people behind the cooperative and the legacy they have built over generations: “Celebrating 60 years of Domaines Vinsmoselle is, above all, about celebrating the women and men who shaped our history. This collaboration was born from an authentic encounter and perfectly reflects our ambition to connect our heritage with a contemporary artistic vision.”
Founded in 1966 through the merger of several wine cooperatives, some dating back to 1921, Domaines Vinsmoselle has grown to become Luxembourg’s leading producer of wines and crémants. Today, around 150 winegrowers cultivate vineyards stretching from Schengen to Wasserbillig, helping preserve one of Luxembourg’s most distinctive terroirs while embracing sustainable viticulture practices recognised through Fair’n Green certification.
For those who appreciate Luxembourg wine, local culture, or the intersection between creativity and craftsmanship, this anniversary collaboration offers something especially meaningful: a reminder that great wine, much like great art, tells the story of a place and the people behind it.
The limited-edition anniversary bottles will no doubt appeal to wine lovers, collectors, and anyone looking to celebrate a piece of Luxembourg’s cultural heritage in a truly unique way.
